
Author/School Visit
Sophia Murphy is available for engaging school visits and presentations for students ages 8–13. Each 30-minute session is structured around her non-fiction book, Sports Superstars from Black History, and introduces students to prominent athletes in Black history through storytelling, historical context, and guided discussion.

Presentation details
This inspirational and educational presentation explores the courage, dedication, and willpower athletes must possess to not only follow their dreams but to overcome barriers to their success. It includes both Black Canadian athletes and African-American athletes from the past and present who’ve made an impact on Black history, society, and the world, such as:
